Q: What can I expect when I start using Bluegrass Pharmacy for my Specialty prescriptions?
A: Bluegrass is a fully engaged member of each patient’s “care team.” We work closely with you to understand your specific condition, concerns and needs. When working with an individual for the first time, Bluegrass performs a thorough, personalized initial assessment to establish a true care-based relationship.
In every case, this assessment is done by a Clinical Pharmacist. Through this process we create a profile that includes:

Overall patient condition and risk assessment
Complete list of all medications currently prescribed
Other medical conditions (if any)
Any concerns or specific instructions regarding our service or shipments

Q: How will I know my prescriptions have been sent to and received by Bluegrass?
A: Someone from Bluegrass will contact you for your insurance information upon receipt of your prescriptions from your prescriber or clinic. They will verify your  address, insurance information, and determine how soon you need your medications.

Q: When will I receive my first order?
A: Bluegrass will begin processing your prescriptions as soon as they are received from your healthcare provider. However, they will not be able to ship orders until they confirm with you your shipping address and obtain payment information.

Q: Will Bluegrass contact me at other times?
A: Yes, a clinical pharmacist may contact you with a few questions and to review your medications. This is in addition to the initial assessment and profile we create before your first prescription is filled.
Also, a Bluegrass clinical pharmacist is available by phone 24/7 to answer any questions you may have.

Q: What does the packaging look like?
A: The package may be an unmarked box or plastic envelope. The return address simply states “Bluegrass”. There is no indication that your package has come from a pharmacy, or any indication that it contains medication.

Q: How do I order a Specialty prescription or refill?
A: Your Care Coordinator will contact you shortly before you need your medication refilled.

Q: Do I need to have an email address to place an order via the web site?
A: Yes, if you are ordering from www.bluegrass-pharmacy.com, an email address is required. If you don’t have an email address, you can order by telephone: 1-855-492-0817.

Q: How do I check the status of my order?
A: You can check your order status online at any time. Just log in, go to My Home and select the Order Status tab. Once there is a final price for a prescription, that price will be displayed in the order status.

Q: How do I update my account information?
A: You can update your account information at any time. Go to bluegrass-pharmacy.com and log into your account. From the My Home page, select Edit Your Profile in the gray box located under today’s date. Your profile contains account information, plan information, health information and payment information.

Q: How do I access my prescription history?
A: Your prescription history is maintained in your secure, online Medicine Cabinet. The Medicine Cabinet, located on the My Home page, is a record of all prescription and non-prescription products you’ve ordered from Bluegrass, including those items you have ordered by telephone, fax, mail or the Internet. It provides an easy way to keep track of your prescriptions and place refill orders. In addition, you can re-order non-prescription products using the information in your Medicine Cabinet.

Q: What if my insurance plan does not cover a particular medication?
A: Bluegrass will act as a single point of contact for your pharmacy needs. If we cannot fill one of your prescriptions for any reason we will work with you and the appropriate parties – your prescriber and insurance plan – to make sure it goes to a pharmacy that can. We will work with you and assist with prior authorizations, patient assistance and discount programs, etc.
